So it would seem that Trump's Justice Department is "investigating" Gavin Newsom and his wife. Newsom argues that it's because he's planning on running for president (which he shouldn't for a number of reasons, but that's not the current issue at hand).

Trump's regime has spent over a decade politically attacking states like California as a result of their "woke" ideologies and other bullshit like that. I just spoke about the attacks on the gubernatorial race there and there have been other attacks like pushing for tech companies to flee Silicon Valley because of high taxes and wokeness (aka "taking care of people's needs" and "treating people who don't look like you with the most basic level of respect").

The government has also threatened actions like diverting international flights away from sanctuary cities like, well, the entire western seaboard and forcing them into intentionally hostile locations that will basically just bend over for ICE. We won't go into how hilariously idiotic that kind of move would be, but it's another item on the long list of the small government and First Amendment absolutists using the government to punish free speech and overstep into state's rights (which is, allegedly, why they fought the Civil War...).

This is another sign of the growing unrest around the impending election season. Without the support of the people, this regime will pull out all of the stops they possibly can to make sure they get their way. They've spent decades building on their momentum of starving the underclass of wealth and basic needs, installing sympathizers into the various branches and levels of government, and now that they have control of the whole damn thing, they're not going to let that go easily.

It won't be clear until it's too late. We have to remember moments like this and prepare for what comes ahead. Get out and register to vote. Go out there and vote. Donate what you can to campaigns that will put an end to the MAGA regime. Speak out against their actions. Protest. Write. Draw. Paint. Every contribution is its own rebellion.
